On Tuesday 11th September eXplore Central North Island (ECNI) exhibited at Taste of PATA, the biggest agent event of the year with almost 300 dedicated London-based agents through the door.
Abbie from SLC attended the show on behalf of ECNI telling agents all about this amazing destination. 3 lucky agents were the winners of some exclusive Explore Central North Island gift hampers. Andrew Lee from Lees Travel Emporium, Steve Bell from Dial A Flight and Mark Haugton from Escape Worldwide are pictured below collecting their prizes with Abbie from SLC/ECNI.
Newly represented in the UK, eXplore Central North Island is made up of 8 regions across the Central North Island of New Zealand with the aim to increase awareness and interest of the destination.

Ahead of the re-opening of Daydream Island in 2019, Jayson Heron, Director of Sales & Marketing from Daydream was in-market earlier this month.
The week of meetings and training sessions was kickstarted with a pre-launch event at Sexy Fish in May Fair where Product Managers & Senior Sales Staff joined Daydream to hear all about the exciting updates taking place on Daydream during it’s $100 million AUD refurbishment.

Perth is currently experiencing a ‘room-boom’ making it the cheapest city in Australia for hotel rooms this winter.
Since 2012, 26 new or redeveloped hotels have opened, adding 3032 new rooms, with 12 more committed to or under construction to add an additional 2,621 rooms. The opening of five-star QT Perth (1st August) marks the latest hotel opening in Western Australia’s fast changing capital.
The launch of the new hotel follows the opening of the Westin Perth in April and the announcement of a major boost to accommodation offerings on Rottnest Island, with major refurbishments and a new luxury glamping site, Pinky’s, due to open early next year.

An immersive art installation by Bruce Munro, Field of Light: Avenue of Honour, will pay homage to the Anzacs with 16,000 shining spheres at Mt Clarence marking the last sight of home for 41,000 troops who departed from Albany for the Great War.
The internationally renowned UK artist’s ephemeral landscape installation will reference the national flowers of Australia and New Zealand; honouring 100 years since the First World War’s end and celebrating Albany’s unique biodiversity with thousands of lights shining in the whites, yellows and golds of the wattle and the kowhai. Launches October 2018.
