NOOSA – it evokes images of beautiful beaches, river, National Parks and holidays in the sun, and it is no coincidence that the name is believed to have derived from a word in the local Gubbi Gubbi language that means “place of rest”… a perfect space to restore life’s balance.
1. Noosa’s nature
Beauty and fresh air surround Noosa with clear seas lapping golden beaches (there are more than a dozen beaches, bays and hidden coves), the river and lakes with their source in the pristine Noosa Everglades, national parks, Biosphere Reserves, World Heritage wonder and the nearby hinterland with mountains to conquer and valleys to roam.
There are endless ways to immerse yourself in Noosa’s nature – follow the sun from glorious sunrises over the eastern beaches to golden sunsets over hinterland hills; jog the Noosa National Park’s coastal tracks; plunge in for an ocean swim; stretch it out with yoga on the beach; or follow miles of forest trails on foot, horseback or bike.
2. Experiences for your senses
Noosa makes the most of its stunning nature, with activities and experiences to tingle all the senses. Learn to surf or stand-up paddle with local experts; go ocean kayaking or into the stillness of the Noosa Everglades on self-guided or guided tours; let a personal trainer show you hidden places to run, stretch and breathe; go skydiving or kitesurfing or join adventure tours such as the new swim with the whales experience.
3. Healing help
Award-winning day spas in luxurious surrounds, massage rooms with organic treatments, wellbeing retreats and restorative therapies are all offered by passionate locals who bring a world of
wellness to Noosa.
4. Feed your body
With seafood from local waters and fresh produce from nearby farms, Noosa’s chefs create sustainable, global tastes that are served in beachfront restaurants, organic cafes and craft breweries. Learn from a local cooking school chef or head to farmers’ markets and create your own tastes!
5. Stay and relax

The Pavilions Phuket, recognised as one of Asia’s most outstanding and intimate resorts, now provides guests with customised Portier Phones, lifting the guest experience into the digital age and taking personalisation to new heights.
The Portier Phone not only allows guests to make complimentary phone calls (to anywhere in the world) and surf the internet, but ensures that the whole travel experience is covered, from booking a spa treatment at the hotel to accessing unique experiences across the island. Perhaps most importantly, guests now have an uninterrupted connection to the hotel’s guest experience team and can request assistance with any requirement they may have to ensure a more personalised and memorable stay.
“The Pavilions Phuket continually looks for ways to enhance our guests’ experience. We believe Portier to be right for our guests so that they’re connected while on holiday, and so we create an experience beyond expectations,” said Conor O’Leary, General Manager at The Pavilions Phuket.
O’Leary also remarked that he expects the Portier service to have a positive impact on the resort’s environmental goals, helping to reduce the need for excessive printing and thus, further lowering the property’s carbon footprint.
“Having always believed in the romance of a unique hotel experience, it’s great to see yet another distinctive resort property adopt our platform,” commented Mike Pope, Portier Technologies’ Chief Revenue Officer. “At Portier Technologies, our job is to enhance the already excellent abilities of hotel staff members.
