2018 was an eventful year for Rawnsley Park Station, in April they celebrated it’s 50th year in tourism with a book launch “Pastoralism to Tourism”, added six new 2-bedroom units which bought the total number of Holiday Units to 29.
The additional units have allowed Rawnsley to turn two of the older units near the reception building into staff accommodation. There are plans in the future to renovate some of the existing 2-bedroom units in late 2019/20. 2018 was also a record year for walking tours on the property, the 3-day and 5-day guided walks continue to attract visitors, the addition of a helicopter flight and overnight camping experience on top of the Chace Range has been very popular, operated by Helivista Pty Ltd.
Rawnsley Park Station has grown significantly over the past few years, now operating as a year-round destination attracting 25,000 visitors annually, more than double the number of visitors they had back in 1984.
