SLC Representation, an award-winning travel representation and marketing agency headquartered in London, has opened an Australian office in Sydney.

The Sydney office will be headed by General Manager, Kate Sorensen. Kate joins SLC Representation from InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) where she held various leadership roles over the past three and a half years. During her 20-year career in the tourism and hotel industry, Kate has held various senior commercial roles with IHG, Hamilton Island and Mantra Group. Kate will be responsible for the business development of SLC’s Australian client portfolio building distribution and awareness within the Australian market.

SLC Australia clients include new TUI Blue hotel properties in Thailand, Zanzibar, the Maldives and Hoi An, Vietnam. Also included within the client portfolio is the TMG Hospitality Group which includes Victoria Hotels and Resorts, ÊMM Hotels and Resorts, Mai Chau Lodge, Flower Garden Hotel, L’Azalee Cruises, Victoria Cruises, Emeraude Cruises, Hai Au Aviation and Spice Viet restaurants.

The new office is SLC Representation’s second global location, joining presence in London. The opening of the Australian office follows a period of growth after SLC welcomed new investor and majority shareholder, Tran Trong Kien, earlier this year. Tran Trong Kien is the founder and Chairman of the Vietnamese Thien Minh Group (TMG), one of the biggest travel and hospitality groups in the region.
