With a night sky free from light pollution filled with millions of stars, our favourite Port Douglas nature retreat Thala Beach is the perfect place for star gazing. Thala has it’s very own observatory to offer complimentary star gazing to guests on different nights of the week. Using a light beam Thala gives an introduction to some beautiful Southern Constellations, most of which cannot be seen at all from Europe or North America. Thala also gives guests the opportunity to use astronomical binoculars and telescopes to get a closer look at Thala’s celestial neighbours, red giants, star clusters and distant galaxies.
